Câmara Municipal homenageia 42 militares pelos 22 anos do 9º BPM
A Câmara Municipal de Natal festejou os 22 anos do 9º Batalhão de Polícia Militar, com sessão solene, nesta segunda-feira (25), durante a qual homenageou 42 militares da unidade, por proposição do vereador Aroldo Alves.
Inicialmente criado para ser um batalhão de polícia comunitária, o 9º BPM, que tem sede na zona Oeste de Natal, desde 2010 atua de maneira preventiva e repressiva à criminalidade. Foi criado pelo Decreto nº 15.929, de 07 de março de 2002, como órgão de execução e unidade operacional subordinada ao Comando de Policiamento Metropolitano. Atualmente, o 9º BPM tem efetivo de cerca de 230 de homens e mulheres, sob o comando do Tenente-coronel Alexandro de Oliveira Soares, para atender 11 bairros da capital.
“É uma honra para nosso mandato estar homenageando pela terceira vez este batalhão de Polícia Militar que atende a uma parcela tão grande a capital”, ressaltou o vereador Aroldo Alves.
“É um momento gratificante, porque demonstra reconhecimento ao trabalho diário da tropa no combate à criminalidade. É um momento ímpar e agradeço a essa oportunidade”, enfatizou o TC Alexandro, destacando que os homenageados da noite foram escolhidos entre os que mais se destacaram entre o efetivo do batalhão.
Bastante emocionado, um dos homenageados, o 2º sargento Carlos Kildary de Lima, lotado no 9º BPM há 21 anos, disse que a sensação da homenagem pelo trabalho realizado é “indescritível”. “Em todos esses anos no 9ºBPM, passei por ocorrências que me fizeram crescer como policial e como pessoa”, afirmou.
Outro homenageado da noite, o 3º sargento Leonardo Wandemberg Santiago da Silva disse estar feliz pela homenagem a si e aos colegas que fazem do 9ºBPM um batalhão de referência no Estado, sempre se destacando na atividade operacional e com números crescentes de prisões, apreensões de armas e recuperações de carros e objetos furtados.
Projeto que cria Banco de Leite Materno é aprovado na Comissão de Saúde
Na última segunda-feira (25), a Comissão de Saúde, Previdência e Assistência Social da Câmara Municipal de Natal realizou uma reunião a fim de designar projetos de lei para relatorias e analisar pareceres. Na ocasião foram aprovadas oito matérias; destaque para o PL 540/2023, de autoria da vereadora Margarete Régia (PROS), que cria o Banco de Leite Materno na capital potiguar.
Os serviços de coleta, processamento, repartição e distribuição do leite materno, deverão ser executados por pessoal habilitado do quadro municipal da saúde, a quem incumbirá o cadastramento das gestantes que comparecem para exames pré-natal no local onde funcionará o Banco de Leite Materno. Disponibilizar leite materno para recém-nascidos prematuros ou para crianças de baixo peso e permitir que mulheres que tem intenção e possibilidade de doação tenham um local adequado para fazê-lo são os principais objetivos da iniciativa.
Destaque também para a aprovação do PL 457/2022, encaminhado pelo vereador Peixoto (PTB), que dispõe sobre a obrigação dos hospitais, clínicas e demais estabelecimentos de saúde, no âmbito do Município, disponibilizarem espaços reservados ou fornecerem tampões/fones de ouvido para as crianças com Transtorno de Espectro Autista (TEA). A iniciativa visa resguardar os direitos das pessoas com Transtorno de Espectro Autista, direito este devidamente assegurado na Constituição Federal e demais Diplomas legais, que são uníssonos em garantir os direitos universais à Saúde, a todos os cidadãos, em especial as crianças portadoras de TEA.
Ao final da reunião, o presidente da Comissão de Saúde, vereador Luciano Nascimento (PTB), avaliou o andamento dos trabalhos. “Tivemos mais um encontro produtivo, com projetos aprovados e designados para seus relatores, além de debatermos assuntos importantes para a população. Semana passada realizamos mais uma visita aos equipamentos públicos de saúde, fiscalizamos, vimos de perto as dificuldades apontadas pela população, desta vez no bairro da Cidade da Esperança. Enfim, estamos cumprindo com nossa missão de lutar pela melhoria dos serviços de saúde em nossa cidade”.

Comissão dos Direitos Humanos aprova projetos para idosos, crianças e mulheres
Em reunião nesta terça-feira (26), a Comissão dos Direitos Humanos, Mulheres, Idosos, Trabalho e Igualdade, apreciou 14 projetos de lei voltados para diferentes públicos. “Analisamos 14 pareceres e zeramos a pauta com vários projetos importantes para idosos, mulheres na política, distribuição de fraldas, entre outros”, destacou a presidente da comissão, vereadora Brisa Bracchi (PT).
Voltado às crianças e adolescentes, o PL n° 576/2022, do vereador Kleber Fernandes (REPUBLICANOS), dispõe sobre um banco de dados municipal de proteção à criança e ao adolescente; e o PL n° 473/2023, do vereador Chagas Catarino (PSDB), institui a campanha municipal “Por uma Infância sem Racismo”.
Já o Projeto de Lei 468/2023, de autoria do Vereadora Ana Paula (SDD), institui o Mês de Prevenção, Conscientização e Combate à Automutilação em Crianças e Adolescentes. “A gente vê diversos casos e é necessário que se faça campanhas nas escolas para tratar esse tema, fazendo trabalho junto às famílias para reduzir essa triste realidade”, disse a autora.
Para idosos, o PL n° 464/2023, do vereador Luciano Nascimento (PSD), estipula medidas de proteção nos procedimentos de empréstimos consignados; e o PL n° 589/2023, da Vereadora Margarete Régia (PROS), cria em Natal a Patrulha do Idoso. “Tive o privilégio de relatar esse projeto. Há uma dívida com a população idosa e todas as iniciativas que venham a proteger e garantir seus direitos, será bem vinda”, destacou o vereador bispo Francisco de Assis (REPUBLICANOS).
Da vereadora Margarete também foi aprovada uma matéria que dispõe sobre penalidades administrativas aplicáveis em razão da prática de atos de discriminação ou ofensivos contra as mulheres em eventos esportivos. A vereadora Júlia Arruda (PCdoB) e o vereador Daniel Valença (PT), também participaram da reunião.
